Advanced Driver Assist Systems (ADAS) (BE016) - 1 lesson
Since the early 2010s, manufacturers have begun incorporating ADAS, or Advanced Driver Assist Systems, technology into their vehicles. With promises of protecting drivers and reducing accidents, consumer demand is expected to increase exponentially. ADAS features can detect moving objects, alert drivers to potentially hazardous conditions, or in some cases, even slow down and automatically stop the vehicle. ADAS maintenance and repair offer technicians with new opportunities. After vehicle collision or even specific maintenance procedures, these systems need to be repaired and recalibrated to pre-collision conditions.
 
Advanced Electronics (BE003) - 1 lesson
Technicians will be introduced to CAN communication systems through demonstrations and theoretical explanations, as well as introducing Optic Fibre communication systems service information and cautions. Technicians will learn how to make the most of the resources available to them in order to successfully repair these communication systems without any damage or injuries.
 
Advanced Lighting Systems (BE020) - 1 lesson
This course will cover operation, diagnosis and repair aspects related to vehicles equipped with advanced headlight systems. The course will cover articulating headlights, HID systems, Intellibeam headlights and provide an overview on LED headlight technology. Headlight system operation and diagnosis will be provided.
 
Asian and European Theft Deterrent Systems (BE202) - 1 lesson
Many vehicles arriving at service facilities are equipped with integrated systems designed to protect against theft of vehicles, their components, and/or contents. A sound understanding of these systems is essential to technicians when attempting to diagnose/service vehicles equipped with these systems. This course will provide participants with an awareness of precautions to be observed when servicing vehicle components and systems that otherwise may be perceived as unrelated to vehicle theft deterrent or immobilizer systems.
 
BMW - Body Control Systems (BE320) - 1 lesson
As more and more body systems are added into today’s vehicles the level of complication for diagnosis increases. With integrated systems sharing data determining which switch, sensor or module operates which component may not always be clear. This course will give the participants a strong platform to build upon along with in-shop experience when diagnosing body related concerns on a BMW vehicle.
 
Chrysler Body Control Systems (BE121) - 2 lessons
The operation of essential vehicle features such as headlamps, interior lighting and wipers on Daimler Chrysler vehicles is controlled by various integrated systems involving numerous modules and system switches/sensors. Technicians need to be aware of the system and component operation in order to make accurate diagnosis of malfunctions in an efficient manner.
 
Chrysler Vehicle Theft and Immobilizer Systems (BE122) - 1 lesson
Chrysler vehicles arriving at service facilities are equipped with integrated systems designed to protect against theft of vehicles, their components and/or contents. A sound understanding of these systems is essential to technicians when attempting to diagnose/service vehicles equipped with these systems. This course will provide participants with an understanding of diagnostic procedures, post service configuration requirements, and an awareness of precautions to be observed when servicing vehicle components and systems that may otherwise be perceived as unrelated.
 
Crash Avoidance Systems (BE015) - 1 lesson
This course will cover the description, operation, diagnosis and repairs on vehicles equipped with crash avoidance and side object detection systems. The course will cover the lane departure systems and the adaptive cruise control systems in vehicles.
 
Electrical Accessories Diagnostics (BE031) - 2 lessons
Technicians will be introduced to the standard automotive electrical accessories and the routine diagnostic procedures required for repair.
 
Electrical Accessories Diagnostics - Power Seats (BE032) - 1 lesson
In this course , we will be covering power seat and power window systems. The power seats and window systems will include switch controlled and module controlled systems. We will be focusing on the operation and diagnosis of these systems along with performing additional tests to provide a technician with a better understanding of their operation. We will also be covering some of the features of these systems and how they are controlled by different modules on a vehicle which may need to be re-programmed after a repair has been performed.
 
Electrical Diagnosis and Repair (BE002) - 3 lessons
Electrical circuits installed on today’s automobiles are produced by machines for accuracy. Today’s technicians have to be accurate in their repairs of electrical circuits in order not to induce further complications into the system. This course will allow the technician to make these quality repairs and diagnose the intermittent concerns caused when these sensitive circuits fail.
 
Ford Body Control Systems (BE111) - 2 lessons
The operation of essential vehicle features such as headlamps, interior lighting and wipers on Ford vehicles is controlled by various integrated systems involving numerous modules and system switches/sensors. Ford Vehicle Theft and Immobilizer Systems (BE112) - 1 lesson
Participants will gain an understanding of all five manufacturer installed Vehicle Theft Deterrent and Immobilizer systems on Ford vehicles and be prepared to diagnose and repair the systems as necessary. Participants will be aware of correct procedures to follow when servicing vehicles equipped with the systems as well as diagnosis/repair and programming procedures that apply.
 
Glass Electronics (BE035) - 1 lesson
This course will educate the participants in the various electrical systems integrated into the glass of today’s automobiles. This will include the various heated glass systems from the rear defogger with multiple heating zones to heated mirrors. The material will also address making repairs to the heater circuits. It will also cover the power window circuits and, in many cases, how they are controlled through other modules and may need to be re-programmed after a repair has been performed.
 
GM Body Control Systems (BE101) - 2 lessons
This course teaches fundamental techniques to diagnose and repair General Motors body electrical systems, with emphasis on the wiper, interior and exterior lamp and power window systems. It also makes the technician aware of the relationship between the different body control modules used to make a feature operate. This will further sharpen the technician’s diagnostic skills relating to communication circuits.
 
GM Vehicle Theft and Immobilizer Systems (BE102) - 1 lesson

Heated Seats, Mirrors, Steering Wheels and Adjustable Pedals (BE030) - 1 lesson
This course will cover operation, diagnosis and repair aspects related to vehicles equipped with advanced headlight systems. The course will cover articulating headlights, HID systems, Intellibeam headlights and provide an overview on LED headlight technology. Headlight system operation and diagnosis will be provided.
 
High Medium and Low CAN Communications (BE004) - 1 lesson
In this course, we will be covering the Control Area Network (CAN) communication systems found on late model vehicles. We will be discussing the wiring configuration and operation of the various CAN communication systems. This will include how the modules communicate with each other at the different speeds. We will also be showing the outcome when certain faults are induced on the various CAN communication systems of vehicles.
 
Honda - Body Control Systems (BE230) - 1 lesson

Hyundai - Body Control Systems (BE240) - 1 lesson
As more and more body systems are added into today’s vehicles, the level of complication for diagnosis increases. With integrated systems sharing data determining which switch, sensor or module operates which component may not always be clear. This course will give the participants a strong platform to build upon along with in-shop experience when diagnosing body related concerns on a Hyundai vehicle.
 
Infotainment Systems (BE400) - 1 lesson
The advancements of on-board telecommunications, infotainment and entertainment systems continue to grow in leaps and bounds. More and more vehicles are being fitted with satellite based communication and GPS systems, radio based information systems, driver information systems, mobile communication systems and remote entertainment systems including removable hard drives for data and entertainment files. Knowledge of how these systems operate and function is imperative to assisting your customers in using these features effectively and diagnosing them when they do not operate as intended.
 
Power Sliding Doors (BE040) - 2 lessons
This course will outline operation, diagnosis and repair procedures as well as periodic maintenance and adjustment requirements of power sliding door and Liftgate systems on common minivan and SUVs, enabling technicians to make repairs that might otherwise be left for those more prepared. This will improve both revenue and customer satisfaction
 
Push Button and Remote Starting Systems (BE060) - 1 lesson
Push button and remote starting systems are convenience features that most automobile manufacturers are now equipping their vehicles with. Keyless ignition systems are not new, having first appeared in the 1920’s on vehicles with an electric starter. Keyless ignition systems were replaced by an ignition key to help prevent vehicle theft, but with the advent of a reliable radio frequency (RF) transmitter and advances in electronics in the 1990’s, keyless ignition systems were reintroduced.

Throughout this lesson, we will cover the operation, description and repair aspects related to vehicles equipped with factory installed remote starters and keyless ignition and access systems. Programming remote keyless transmitters and system inhibits for each manufacturer will be highlighted.

 
Service Information and Programming (BE011) - 2 lessons
This course will provide technicians with information on programming the various modules found in today’s vehicles. The course will mainly focus on the new SAE J2534-1 programming standard.
 
SRS/Occupant Protection Systems (BE010) - 1 lesson
Developments in SRS and vehicle occupant protection technology have been extensive over recent years and have presented important safety concerns to technicians servicing vehicles. Participants of this course will be aware of correct procedures necessary to avoid risk of personal injury and/or damage to vehicles and vehicle components. Participants will also be prepared to undertake diagnosis and repair of these SRS and related occupant protection devices/systems that are presenting growing numbers of service opportunities for motor vehicle service facilities and technicians.
 
SRS/Occupant Protection Systems (BE050) - 1 lesson
This course will provide a sound understanding of the operation and safety related aspects of Supplemental Restraint Systems (SRS) and occupant protection devices/systems from a perspective of those servicing vehicles. As well, this course will give the participant the ability to diagnose and repair these systems confidently and effectively.

Vehicle Body Electrical Accessories (BE500) - 1 lesson
The key to diagnosing a problem with an electric body control system is understanding how the system works. Knowing how the components work will help you correctly diagnose a failed component. Join industry veterans Jeff Taylor and Dom Sgambelluri for this look at "Vehicle Body Electrical Accessories.” We will highlight the significant changes made to the windshield wiper motor system throughout this lesson. A windshield wiper module controls the entire system. Requests for wiper activation are sent on the Local Interconnect Network or LIN Bus. Changes in technology change how we diagnose a fault in the system. Participants will be familiarized with activating components through scan tools, calibration and learn procedures, system overview and component operation.
 
Vehicle Communications (BE005) - 4 lessons
This course will provide information on the description, operation, diagnosis and repair of the communication architecture used by General Motors on their vehicles. The course will cover UART, Class II and GMLAN communications.
 
Wiper Systems (BE044) - 1 lesson
This course will cover the description, operation and diagnosis of the various windshield wiper systems used on today’s vehicles. The course will cover BCM controlled systems, Rainsense wipers, zoned rear defogger systems and heated windshield washer fluid systems.
