This diagnostic course will deal exclusively with Dodge engine management systems found on the V8 truck engines. This course will explain the purpose of the control system components and how to accurately diagnose them using diagnostic trouble codes as well as symptoms. This course also complements the previous Dodge specific powertrain control system courses.
 
Ford EcoBoost Engine Family (TG122) - 1 lesson
Ford Motor Company has introduced the EcoBoost family of engines for its passenger vehicles and light truck applications. EcoBoost engines are equipped with gas direct injection and turbochargers to increase low-end engine torque and high-end engine performance.

This course will highlight the entire family of engines, focusing on the popular EcoBoost 3.5L. We will concentrate on the air injection system, fuel system, coolant system, turbocharge system and timing chain. Demonstrations will explain how these systems work and how-to diagnose lack of power concerns using hand tools, scan tool data and an oscilloscope.

This diagnostic course will deal exclusively with Ford engine management systems found on the V8 truck engines. This course will explain the purpose of the control system components and how to accurately diagnose them using diagnostic trouble codes as well as symptoms. This course also complements the previous Ford specific powertrain control systems courses.

Since engine brakes are widely used on North American truck diesel engines, technicians responsible for repairing these engines must understand their purpose and operation. This course will introduce the various versions of engine retarders used in the industry. This knowledge will then further complement the technician’s skill at diagnosing and repairing diesel engines and all their related components and sub-systems.
